Overview

The Machine Intelligence and Human-Robot Interaction Laboratory (MItHRIL) is a multidisciplinary research group that focuses on the development of interactive robotics in a variety of environments, including manufacturing, healthcare, home, and the workplace. Our investigatory domain encompasses both physical and social human-robot interactions and delves into areas such as controls, machine learning, human psychomotor behaviour, motion generation, task planning, and environmental sensing. Additionally, our group explores technologies that may assist or enhance human performance and functioning, which include haptics, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

Our vision for the research we conduct at MItHRIL is to develop technologies and robotics that can safely and effectively augment the living and working conditions of all people.
